The golden rule: where people wait

People scan a QR code when they have a short, calm moment: waiting for the bill, sitting at the table, or heading out.

Tap any dot to see why that spot works

  1. 1
    At the counter

Every customer passes it, in the calm moment of paying.

  2. 2
    On the table

A small A5 stand suits restaurants and cafés.

  3. 3
    On the receipt

It reaches everyone who took one, even without sitting.

  4. 4
    At the exit door

The last thing a happy customer sees on the way out.

  5. 5
    Facing the seats

Read by someone waiting for their turn or friend.

  6. 6
    On delivery bags

For customers who never visit the shop.

  7. 7
    On the menu

Seen while the customer decides what to order.

Size and clarity

  • 3 cmminimum width for close scanning
  • 5–6 cmon a wall or from a distance
  • 4modules of white margin around it
Do
  • A dark code on a light background
  • A white margin around it
  • Matte paper
Avoid
  • Glossy glass that reflects light
  • Folding the paper across the code
  • A very light colour for the code

Measure, do not guess

  1. 1
    Create a placement per spot

In RevLink: one for the counter, one for the table, one for the receipt.

  2. 2
Print each code in its spot

They all open the same review page, but each has its own counter.

  3. 3
    Wait two weeks and compare

The statistics page shows which placement gets scanned most.

  4. 4
Enlarge the best, change the weakest

Repeat what works; move or reword what does not get scanned.

Another option: an NFC tag

A small NFC tag stuck on the counter or stand lets customers tap their phone to open the review.
